Get your House in Order

Get Your House in Order

Its time to reflect on your spending for 2013, AHHHHHHHHHH I know, I know, you don't want to reveal all your bad habits right. Even though you should be doing this weekly but we will not go there this time. Well in order to change the future you have to reflect upon the past. Every bank now has purchase analyzers, and budget tools. Take a minute to look at your institution. It should give you a snapshot like the one below:

So now that you have taken that brave next step and taken a look at your current financial state.

What does it say? Are you proud, sad, disappointed?

If you find that your banks tool are not user friendly or easy then there are other options.

My rule of thumb is make it easy for yourself. Most people don't budget b/c they over think it. This technology era we live in has made life so easy."There's an App for that"

These two financial websites have made it easy for me to stay on top of my finances. Equipped with full websites and mobile Apps, these two websites will revolutionize your financial state. Of course there are more programs out there but these two are the best. These two apps are featured in Forbes, and Black Enterprises as great finance management programs.

Mint.com & Check.com allows for you to link your existing Bank accounts in one place. In order to analyze your income in one place. It also allows you to link  Credit Cards, Investment accounts and other assets. This is what they have in common where they differ is in tracking your expenses.

Mint.com is designed to track your spending and analyze it across the board by linking all bank accounts and Credit Cards.  It then creates graphs and even makes suggestions for budgets amounts.

Check.com is designed to help with your BILLS BILLS BILLS.  This Apps shows your current financial state by displaying the amount you have in your accounts. It then displays your current bills and their due dates. It even shows it in calendar form, giving you reminders as bill due dates approach. They recently added a bill pay feature which has definitely given the App depth.

Try these Apps they are wonderful and I know that going into the new year they will help you take control of your finances.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
